Baby steps back to the easel
A recent 35 minute sketch (charcoal). Looking back at the dates in my sketch book, this is my first proper sketch since 28th August 2007. All I intended here was to get used to shading something with a charcoal stick.

A ship and a boat
I have not done much sketching of late. So, for this post I am going to go back to a painting of mine that is almost a decade old. I am slowly getting back to the easel, and aiming to get up a few recent sketches/paintings this summer.

Postdoc positions - the hunt begins
I have been a bad mad grad for all of 3.5 years now, and I should probably graduate sometimes in the second half of 2010. Which means, it is time to spare a thought for post-PhD options. As of now, I am almost totally clueless about postdoc hunting, but I will (have to!) learn. Postdocs apart, I am also going to start looking seriously at the ad-hoc Assistant Professor (on contract) in the various IITs and NITs. 2010 will be an interesting year indeed!
